The Predicament’s January Class 2A rankings

The top six teams in the rankings have a number of wrestlers on the list. All of them have at least five wrestlers ranked. Defending state champion Ballard still leads the way with Denver-Tripoli and Davenport Assumption close behind. MARION — Prep football fans at Thomas Park last night got their money’s worth. But it was Decorah senior Robby Jewell who gave the Vikings fans a little more for their money. Decorah golfer wins state honor

Decorah golfer Andrew Peter was named Iowa Golf Association Junior Player of the Year. The Vikings senior was the medalist at the Class 3A state tournament in May, shooting an 81-71-152 at the Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes. In addition to Peter's prep title, he claimed the IGA Junior Amateur title.
