Clear Creek-Amana holds off Mount Pleasant

There was certainly a case of contrasts at Bob Evans Field Friday night. The Clear Creek-Amana High School football team appeared to be in midseason form, while fifth-ranked Mount Pleasant left with more questions than answers. Clippers' quarterback Dillon Villhauer threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns in his first varsity start, and the defense limited the Panthers to just 32 yards rushing in a 28-20 season opening win. OXFORD, Iowa - No. 2 Clear Creek Amana started Class 3A regional play in dominating fashion Saturday, topping South Tama 10-0 in five innings in Oxford.
