Blythe, French nominated for all-star game
Cedar Rapids Kennedy’s Christian French and Williamsburg’s Austin Blythe have been nominated to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
The game is Jan. 8, 2011, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The annual classic East vs. West match-up will be televised live on NBC at noon (Iowa time) and will feature the nation’s top high school football players.
Blythe has committed to play at the University of Iowa. French has offers with a number of Division-I programs.
The players were nominated by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee, which consists of All American Games’ network of regional directors throughout the country, Rivals.com and Tom Lemming. Of the 400-plus nominees, 90 will ultimately be selected and invited to this year’s game.

What position would French play if he went?
