Since there are a smaller number of 3A regionals I will tackle predictions from tonight’s duals. I hate predictions, especially in wrestling, because so many variables effect the outcome. The Trojans placed a surprising fourth at the traditional state tournament last weekend after having hopes of a championship performance.
West will take its first step of a bounce back in a class 3A regional dual meet tonight against Keokuk at West High School. Competition begins at 7 p.m. Regional dual winners advance to the 3A State Duals tournament Saturday at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.

MARION — Maybe Morgan Paige will set another scoring record. Maybe she won’t.
If she does, it’s clear it will come in the natural framework of a game.
Paige scored 30 points — 25 in an awe-inducing first half — as Class 3A No. 9 Marion blew past Maquoketa, 62-36, in a Wamac Conference interdivisional girls’ basketball game Friday night at Marion High School.
“I don’t know how to describe it. It was just a good day today,” said Paige, a senior and a University of Wisconsin signee. “I caught a lot of first …

The top six teams in the rankings have a number of wrestlers on the list. All of them have at least five wrestlers ranked.
