Marion rolls to 58-0 win over Anamosa

Trevor Hardman and Quinn Cannoy did the initial damage through the air, then the Marion offense closed it out on the ground.

The result was a 58-0 prep football win over Anamosa last night in a Class 3A-District 6 opener in Anamosa.

Hardman hit Cannoy for three first-quarter touchdowns covering 13, 35 and 44 yards. Backup running back Dontavious Young led the ground attack with 108 yards and a touchdown on nine carries and Jeremy Schneiders (15 yards), Colton Mowry (1) and John Carstensen (1) also rushed for TDs for Marion (2-1).

Cannoy finished with four catches for 117 yards and Hardman completed 5 of 8 passes for 122.

Randy VonBehren led Anamosa (0-3) with 35 yards on six rushes.
