Jefferson promotes Horman to co-coach

Cedar Rapids Jefferson boys’ basketball coach Stu Ordman announced Thursday that head sophomore coach Brandon Horman has accepted a position as co-head coach with the J-Hawks varsity.

“(He) has demonstrated dedication and leadership and has an outstanding ability to collaborate,” Ordman said in a release. “(I) am very excited that Brandon will be more involved in the day-to-day workings of the program.”

Horman has been Jeff’s sophomore coach for two years and on the J-Hawks staff for five. He works as a Learning Facilitator at Wilson Middle School.

Chad Tompkins will be Jefferson’s new head sophomore coach, with Matt Jenkins his assistant.
