From Mid-Prairie girls’ track and field coach Chris Tyler:

The Mid-Prairie girls’ 400-meter relay team placed 12th at the Drake Relays and currently holds the top 400 relay time in ¬†Class 2A.

“It was very exciting to watch this race with great competition from around the state,” Tyler said. “We changed our handoff order the week of the race, so I wasn’t sure how that would work out for us. So far it seems to be working.

“With only three meets all season, we are a little rough on handoffs yet, but they will come around.”
