CEDAR RAPIDS – As the Xavier girls’ basketball team wrapped up its regular season, the Saints eyes were on state.
“To experience state last year was amazing and we have all worked extremely hard to try and get back there,” senior Ashley Stulken said.
The Saints entered regional play ranked fifth and 12-9.
They opened win a win over Solon at home, getting 13 points from senior captain Sarah Dickes in a 50-27 win. The Saints then topped the Washington (Iowa) Demons in the reginoal final, 51-15.
Xavier plays Council Bluffs Lewis Central on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
