West Delaware’s Dean Broghammer wins title at 2A-285

DES MOINES – Dean Broghammer (47-0) put the finishing touches on West Delaware’s team win Saturday, building a 5-0 lead before pinning Bondurant-Farrar’s Chad Pohlmeier in 2:50. He joined older brother, Carl, who won the 189-pound championship in 2009 for the Hawks.

Broghammer was already looking to the future. He plans to wrestle at emerging NAIA power Grand View.

“It’s real exciting,” Broghammer said. “Once I won, I’m like I’m going to the next level and I have to keep moving.”
