Iowa City Regina’s Daniel Gaffey held on late to beat Ryley Howell of Wapello 3-2 to win the 1A-220-pound state championship. Gaffey becomes Regina’s first state champion since Steve Rogers in 1984. Here’s video of the final period and the celebration:
