Lorenzen’s 29 pace City High past Jefferson

IOWA CITY HIGH 84, C.R. JEFFERSON 63

Haley Lorenzen poured in 29 points to lead Iowa City High over Jefferson in a Mississippi Valley Conference match-up.

Mickey Hansche added 24 points and Kiera Washpun dished out 11 assists for the Little Hawks. Maddie Koolbeck paced Jefferson with a team-high 20 points, while Kaitlyn Davidson added 19.

C.R. WASHINGTON 54, LINN-MAR 33

Danielle Franklin and Aleena Hobbs scored in double digits for the Warriors (14-3, 11-2 MVC) with 17 and 15 points respectively.

Hobbs also pulled down 12 rebounds. Mykaela Brandt and Sara Strauel each scored eight points for the Lions (7-11, 4-9 MVC) in the home loss.

Washington led 29-15 at the half and won the battle of the turnovers with a 7-20 margin.

PRINCE OF PEACE 67, CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 40

Shelby Hembera had a big night for the Huskies (1-13) with 21 points and 15 rebounds in a loss at Clinton.

Lindsey Cach added 11 points and Annie McElree led the team with three assists and four steals.

IOWA CITY REGINA 63, DURANT 25

Jenna Lehman finished with a game-high 20 points and six steals to lead Iowa City Regina at home in a Cedar Valley Conference match-up.

Katie Wick added eight points and seven rebounds for the Regals (15-4).

Shannon Telsrow paced the Durant (8-9) offense with six points.

MARION 63, CLEAR CREEK-AMANA 59

Emi Banes had 17 points and Michalyn Mohr added 15 points to lead Marion at Tiffin. Marion led 32-28 at halftime. Maliah Fligg led the Clippers with 16 points.
