CASCADE — Using a typically suffocating zone defense, Cascade moved to the head of the pack of the Tri-Rivers boys’ basketball race.
The Cougars allowed just two points in the second quarter and two more in the third, and defeated North Linn, 42-26, Tuesday night.
Haris Takes led all scorers with 16 points. Timmie Kleitsch added 11, and the Cougars moved to 10-0 overall, 7-0 in the Tri-Rivers.
Korbi Burkey led the Lynx (10-1, 7-1) with eight points.
North Linn was within 13-12 after one quarter before the Cougars pulled away.
