Mickey Hansche scored 19 points and Iowa City High teammate Haley Lorenzen pitched in with 16 Saturday afternoon as the fifth-ranked Little Hawks defeated Linn-Mar, 48-29, in girls’ basketball at Iowa City.

The Little Hawks improved to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the Mississippi Valley Conference.

Alexis Libenguth topped the scoring column for Linn-Mar with eight points.

WEST DES MOINES DOWLING 47, C.R. XAVIER 33

Luci Sarcone scored 12 points for West Des Moines Dowling (5-0) in a non-conference game at Cedar Rapids.

Hayley Deutmeyer led Xavier (5-2) with eight points and five rebounds. Ashley Stulken added six points and five rebounds.
