WYOMING – Good looks, team work and the fans going crazy on Tuesday when the Midland Eagles won topped the Lisbon Lions at home.
Though Lisbon had the first shot, the Eagles took the ball down the court and ran a play that opened Kasey Lasack for their first shot, scoring a 3-pointer to put Midland ahead.
During the first quarter, the game went back and forth, with each team taking the lead. The fans were cheering loud to make the team aggressive. At one point in the first quarter, the team played such good defensive that Dalton Harms got a steal.
Ahead by just a few points at the end of the quarter, the Eagles kept giving their all, taking the hits and blows from the Lions and making all their shots and free throws.
At the end of the half, the Eagles were ahead, 33-30.
In the third quarter, after 2-point shots from Hagan Ackley, Kasey Lasack and Colton Dirks – Dirks took a charg with five seconds left. The Eagles led, 43-39, at the end of te third.
The fans were at their loudest in the fourth quarter. With good shots and plays from both sides. the Eagles were ahead the rest of the way and won the game, 65-55.
