Johnathon Koelling finished with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double to lead Kennedy in the season-opener at Burlington.

Benjamin Struss scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double of his own for the Cougars (1-0), while teammate Patrick Martin added 14 points and five assists.

Justin Randall paced Burlington (0-2) with 14 points.

C.R. XAVIER 49, WAVERLY-SHELL ROCK 46

Trey Sampson scored 19 and pulled down eight rebounds for Xavier in a win at Waverly. Adam McDermott added 11 points and Corbin Woods chipped in 10 to improve the Saints’ record to 2-0. Waverly-Shell Rock was led by Klint Carlson with 17 points.
