IOWA CITY – Last week, the Little Hawk  volleyball team wrapped up its season at the state tournament in Cedar Rapids.

City High beat West Des Moines Dowling in the Class 5A quarterfinals, then took down top-ranked Ankeny in the semifinals. The Little Hawks fell  just short to Bettendorf in the championship match, losing 3-1.

“I’m very proud of our team,” senior co-captain Mickey Hansche said. “We fought through a lot of adversity this year, and I love every single person on this team.”
