WILLIAMSBURG 20, WASHINGTON (IA) 7

WEST BRANCH 55, SIGOURNEY-KEOTA 20

Bo Bowers rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns and Cade Jones added 141 yards and two scores as the Bears gave Coach Butch Pedersen his 250th career win.

“A lot of people and a lot of time and effort went into these 250 wins,” Pedersen said. “And each and every one of them is as special as the last one.”

Quarterback Cole Cook completed six of eight passes for 84 yards and two TDs to help the Bears, who led 55-6 at halftime.

DYERSVILLE BECKMAN 45, WATERLOO COLUMBUS 7

Grant Hammann completed 10 of 14 passes for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Blazers (4-0 in 2A-4, 5-1) won at home.

Mitch Steger caught six of those passes for 203 yards, including a 73-yard TD reception.

DECORAH 50, VINTON-SHELLSBURG 7

Top-ranked Decorah rolled up 397 yards of offense and dominated Vinton-Shellsburg, 50-7, in a Class 3A District 5 prep football game Friday night in Decorah.

Josey Jewell scored two touchdowns for the Vikings (3-0, 6-0), but wasn’t needed much. Mikhail Suvorov led Decorah with 98 rushing yards and a touchdown and Holt Johansen added 79 yards and three TDs.

Quarterback Jake Kvale completed 3 of 5 passes for 65 yards, including a 39-yard score to Johansen.

Chris Merchant led Vinton-Shellsburg (2-2, 3-3) with 51 yards and a TD.

WAPSIE VALLEY 55, NORTH LINN 0

SOLON 56, ANAMOSA 0

Rory Siddell completed 11 of 12 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown as the Spartans (3-0 in 3A-6, 5-1) rolled in Anamosa.

Rory Holub caught six passes for 102 yards, including a 47-yard touchdown.

Solon scored five rushing touchdowns and totaled 245 yards. Nate Kennedy led the way with 93 on 10 carries and a TD, and Jordan Wymer rushed six time for 57 yards and two TDs.

Connyr Lewis led Anamosa (0-4, 0-6), completing 9 of 16 passes for 113 yards — all to Josh Schulte.

DON BOSCO 42; ROCKFORD 16

BELLE PLAINE 41, IOWA VALLEY 18

Nick Pippert led the way with 22 carries for 180 yards and  two touchdowns to lead Belle Plaine (3-0, 5-1)  to the win at home. Ryan Zumbach completed 7 of 10 passes for 116 yards.  Lance Hinschberger added 80 yards on 23 carries and scored four touchdowns for the Plainsmen

WEST DELAWARE 21, MAQUOKETA 18

Ryan Dudak rushed for 254 yards on 40 carries, scoring on a 2-yard, as the Hawks won in Maquoketa.

Quarterback Brent Lammers scored on a 1-yard run and passed 50 yards to Tommy Tutton for another TD as West Delaware (4-2) grabbed a 21-10 halftime lead in the non-district game.

Maquoketa (3-3) scored on a fumble recovery in the end zone and a blocked punt recovery in the end zone.

HLV 33, MELCHER-DALLAS 8

Cole Lahndorf rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns as the Warriors rolled to a win in Victor.

HLV improved to 5-0 in 8-man district 5, 6-0 overall.

Tanner DeBrower also scored for the Warriors, who totaled 332 rushing yards.
