The City High football team takes on the Mustangs of Dubuque Hempstead at Chalmers Field in Dubuque tonight.
The Little Hawks are fresh off a 38-0 shutout victory against Cedar Rapids Jefferson last week and look to keep the ball rolling.
“We want to focus on our execution and really play hard tonight,” Coach Dan Sabers said. “We really want to eliminate some of our weak links, and tonight is a good opportunity to do that.”
The Little Hawks are 3-1 and ranked No. 7 in class 4A. The only loss comes from their opening game against No. 2 Cedar Falls in the UNI Dome.
“I feel like we came out of that game with more positives than negatives.” Sabers said. “It showed us some areas where we need to improve, and we have been working really hard to do that.”
