WATERLOO WEST 40, C.R. WASHINGTON 30

Lance Dunn rushed for 258 yards and three touchdowns at West won in Waterloo.

The Warriors pulledwithin 27-24 with 7:58 left in fourth, but with a chance to take the lead Charles Blades fumbled at Warrior 35 and West scored three plays later on Alex Young’s two-yard run to push lead back to two scores 34-24.

Blades finished 15 of 30 for 173 yards and two TDs and rushed 11 times for 78 yards.

WEST BRANCH 42, WAPELLO 6

Cade Jones rushed for a school-record 321 yards and five touchdowns to lead the host Bears to their first 1A-6 win of the season.

Bo Bower added 159 yards as the Bears (3-2, 1-2) totaled a school-record 501 rushing yards.

West Branch led 28-6 at halftime.

Daniel Ostroot scored a pair of touchdowns for the Huskies (0-5, 0-4) and Spencer Zielke ran for another in an Eight-Man District 4 matchup atLaSalle Middle School.

WAPSIE VALLEY 35, NORTH BUTLER 14

After trailing 14-13 at halftime, Mitchell Boevers threw two touchdown passes to Kenny Saulsberry in the second half for the comeback win.

IOWA VALLEY 25, GRUNDY CENTER 24

BENTON COMMUNITY 35, ANAMOSA 28

Ben Twedt rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown and Matt Gessner added 112 yards and a score as the Bobcats (1-4, 1-2) won in Van Horne.

The two teams combined for eight turnovers, including four in the fourth quarter.

Jake Petersen added 77 rushing yards for Benton.

Connyr Lewis led Anamosa (0-5, 0-3), completing 6 of 15 passes for 168 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown toss to Josh Schulte in the fourth quarter for the final score. Schulte finished with four catches for 100 yards and two TDs. Zach Neunaber rushed seven times for 41 yards for the Raiders.

CRESTWOOD 12, WESTERN DUBUQUE 10

Kody Sindelar and Jeffrey Haskovec scored touchdowns as Crestwood won at home, piling up 337 yards of offense.

NORTH-LINN 40, EDGEWOOD-COLESBURG 20

Brendan Schott rushed for 141 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Lynx to a win in Edgewood.

Schott scored on runs of 4, 11, 6 and 3 yards.

Taylor Michael, Tyler Cherry and Cody Johnson also scored for North-Linn (3-2, 2-1).

MOUNT VERNON 42, NORTHEAST 0

Marshall Tuerler had 46 yards rushing and two touchdowns and Conner Shaffer had three receptions for 78 yards and a 90 yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half in the homecoming win at Mount Vernon (3-2).

MID-PRAIRIE 14, TIPTON 7

STARMONT 43, POSTVILLE 12

David Lowry completed 10 of 15 passes for 166 yards and touchdown passes to Elliott Mayer, Allan Hayes and Riley Brockway as the Stars won in Postville.

APLINGTON-PARKERSBURG 49, NORTH FAYETTE 7

Brady Frey scored five touchdowns as A-P rushed for 350 yards in a win at West Union.

Frey scored on runs of 2, 57, 2, 1 and 17 yards.
