On Monday, the varsity boys’ golf team placed fourth behind Iowa City West in Round 1 of the MVC Divisional Meet.
The team had a total score of 334, just six strokes behind the Trojans.
“I felt like today didn’t go very well,” junior Zach MacMillan said. “We didn’t have our game face on, we didn’t come in with a strong positive attitude that we should have.”

Senior Nate Goddard led the team with a total score of 82. Other top scorers for the Little Hawks were junior Brady Swenning with an 83 and senior Grant Simpson with a 84.
The Little Hawks are back in action Monday at the Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City.

IOWA CITY – Both the varsity and junior varsity girls’ cross country teams won The Little Hawk Invitational Wednesday.
The JV team had a perfect score of 15, and varsity scored 18.
Junior Ellen Carman won the individual race in a time of 15:03, two seconds away from her personal record.
“It was really fun, but I couldn’t have done it without my teammates,” Carman said.
The team will compete again Monday at the Solon Invitational.
