IOWA CITY – Fresh off a 38-26 victory at home versus Waterloo East, the City High football team takes on the Jefferson J-Hawks tonight at Kingston Stadium.
The J-Hawks pose an interesting matchup, fresh off a win against Dubuque Hempstead that snapped a 24-game losing streak dating back to 2008. Jefferson has a pretty good quarterback in Layne Sullivan, who has rushed for two touchdowns and is a leader of the J-Hawks defense.
The Little Hawks are basically in full health this week, but there will always be some injuries in the game of football. Senior Tony Perry is out with a neck injury and sophomore Bryson Runge and senior Eddie Marcelino will be on the sidelines with concussions.
The theme tonight is black out. Drive up with your friends and cheer on your Little Hawks.
