ANAMOSA 41, TIPTON 6
Anamosa improved to 2-0 for the first time since 2004 with a 41-6 win at home over Tipton in a prep football game tonight.
Anamosa totaled 179 rushing yards with four touchdowns, led by Alex Breon with 86 yards on rushes and two TDs, including a 64-yarder.
Nik Schulte passed for 193 yards and two TDs, completing 7 of 11 passes. His brother, Josh, caught three for 91 yards, including an 85-yard touchdown. Jacob Maruga had two catches for 72 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown.

DECORAH 40, NEW HAMPTON 13 – Blake Moen rushed for 80 yards on eight carries and scored a touchdown as Decorah topped New Hampton in Decorah.
Gayge Samuelson added 76 yards on nine carries and a touchdown and Josey Jewell tallied 74 yards and a TD on 14 carries as Decorah (1-1) racked up 396 yards on the ground.
Brandon Tenge had 146 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown to pace New Hampton (1-1).

WESTERN DUBUQUE 17, WEST DELAWARE 16 – The Bobcats managed just 152 yards in Epworth, but held off the Hawks.
Tyson Massey’s 5-yard run and Sam Burds’ 43-yard field goal in the first half gave Western Dubuque at 10-0 lead at the break. West Delaware pulled with 10-7 on the first of Sam Lahr’s two touchdown runs, the Bobcats answered with a 54-yard pass from Nick Tuttle to Logan Pitz for a 17-7 lead.
Lahr scored again on a 1-yard run with 7:41 left, but the Bobcats’ punt downed the ball in the end zone for a safety and West Delaware couldn’t respond.
Lahr had 104 yards on 23 carries as the Hawks rolled up 300 yards. Tuttle passed for 152.

MAQUOKETA VALLEY 21, CASCADE 0 – Kyle Whitman led the way with 146 yards on 21 carries and Troy Hunt ran for 84 yards with one touchdown to lead Maquoketa Valley.
Colton Schlemme completed 6 of 9 passes for 112 yards and passed for two touchowns in the win at home for Maquoketa Valley.
MONTICELLO 26, NORTHEAST 6 – The Panthers rushed for 221 of their 229 offensive yards and got a pair of touchdown runs from Jacob Black and rushing scores from Tanner and Tyler Felton.
Northeast’s lone score was a 4-yard pass to Brad Spain.
UNION 57, INDEPENDENCE 0 – Union improved to 2-0 by blanking the Mustangs in Independence.
WEST LIBERTY 49, WEST BURLINGTON 0 — Erik McKillip rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two-point conversion as the Comets rolled at home.
McKillip rushed for 113 yards on 16 carries, scoring on runs of 2, 23, 12 and 5 yards. He also caught two passes for 11 yards and threw a PAT pass to Cole Roszell.
West Liberty totaled 313 rushing hards and held the Falcons to 124 total yards.
