  1. It still gets me that these AP rankings almost always end up in basic order by record (at least for 4A). Why are these even meaningful? Just 11 writers (or other media guys) seem to vote based on record. It appears only 9 voted on 1A and 2A. There is no way they can evelaute all the teams fairly, so why bother?. The BCMoore Rankings at least have some substance to how it is calculated. Speaking of BCMoore, they now have posted probabilities for each team in 4A and 3A to win their substate. Pretty interesting. At least more than looking at these rankings.

  2. Lion fan, thats kind of the way it is no matter which level. In college sports, it follows that mold pretty well too. I think rankings are pretty meaningless but they keep fans interested up until the playoffs start
