West Delaware hands Waverly-Shell Rock first loss, 29-3

West Delaware’s defense held No. 9 Waverly-Shell Rock in check all night as the Hawks handed the Go-Hawks their first loss of the season, 29-3 Friday night at Manchester in a Class 3A District 4 prep football showdown.

Brandon Domeyer had 29 carries for 152 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a 7-yard halfback pass to Trey MacTaggart just before halftime.

Quarterback Jordan Hoffman was 8-of-14 for 133 yards and a score – a 13-yard pass to Tyler Morrison. MacTaggart closed the scoring on a 19-yard end around in the fourth quarter.

West Delaware is 5-2, 4-1. Waverly Shell-Rock fell to 6-1, 4-1.
