The Iowa High School Athletic Associated released its Class 3A boys’ basketball district and Class 4A substate pairings Tuesday. As with all the classes, who is in what district/substate was set before the season, with seedings for the teams determined by what happened in games 5 through 15.
Top seeds in 3A include Western Dubuque, Decorah, Marion, Davenport Assumption and Williamsburg. Assumption and Marion are in the same substate.
In 4A, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Linn-Mar and Iowa City High are top seeds. As such, they’ll get first-round byes, as will No. 2 seeds Cedar Falls, North Scott and Cedar Rapids Washington.
