3 Responses to Go-Hawks hold top-ranking with four Nos. 1

  1. ICW will beat any team in a dual this year. They have great or good wrestlers at every weight class. I think the kennedy duals kind of showed that.

In an individual tournament you would assume the edge will go to WSR because of the potential 4 champs. However, WSR will have to go through the toughest district to send guys to the state tournament, while ICW and Bettendorf will benefit from two of the easier districts in the state. Both could potentially pick up a lot more advancement points and lower place winners at the state tournament than WSR. I see ICW and Bett getting 9-11 wrestlers a peice at state and WSR having 5-8 wrestlers at state.

  2. You bring up very good points and I’m not sure I can disagree with any of them. West’s performance at the Five Seasons Duals, co-hosted by Cedar Rapids Washington and Kennedy, was very impressive. I was more impressed with their win over Bettendorf.

Class 3A could be very interesting.

  3. the team is doing really well. the coach is working them hard. tracy bowers is a good friend of mine and he is constantly working himself until he feels sick. the team is having an amazing year. good job boys!
    keep it up.
    :)
