The Predicament’s Class 3A preseason wrestling rankings are out and it’s no surprise as to who is leading the team list and the 160-pound weight class. Defending state champion Waverly-Shell Rock has four top-ranked wrestlers, including Jake Ballweg who is going for his third state title, and a fifth (Eric DeVos at 119) who could earn a top spot.

Moore is atop the 160-pound rankings. He’s attempting to become the 18th four-time state champion in Iowa history. He is highest of West’s 10 rated wrestlers, and the Trojans, who have been in a regular battle with the Go-Hawks for 3A supremacy lately, are surprisingly third behind Bettendorf, who also has 10 ranked wrestlers.
