  1. Where can the complete listing of INA all state selections be found?

  2. INA website: inanews.com

  3. How did the State’s All Time Single Season Receiving Yards Record Holder CCA WR Ted Hergert not get 1st Team 3A???

    Hergert 83 catches 1591 yds 18 tds
    Wauters 60-1025-12
    Berger 69-982-8

This makes no sense to me?????

  4. Becuase this list is about the best players, not neccessarily the ones with the best statistics. Ted is a good receiver but not nearly the best in the state. Sorry if that upsets you

  5. Does Central Clinton of DeWitt get coverage in the Gazette-Area Only?

  6. I don’t know any of the players mentioned above and am not a fan of any of the teams, so I have no axe to grind. However, 83 catches 1591 yds 18 tds is very impressive. If you don’t use statistics to determine the best receivers, what do you use? What measure or “unmeasureable” makes the other receivers better players in the eyes of the voters (many of whom have never seen any of them play)?

  7. If your talking stats, a dewitt back had 887 yards on 86 carries which equates 10.3 yards per carry. With backs over 800 yards this is 6th best in the state and didn’t even get a sniff at third team? Also, he had 135 yards on only 4 receptions. Granted we didn’t make the playoffs which hurt us but that’s in large part to our poor DeWitt coaching staff. Again, assume Dewitt is covered in the Gazette. Congrates to the rest of the kids though.
