River King Dad….As an arch rival of the Xavier Saints, I still truly enjoyed listening to the dominant victory over a very average Clinton football team. Don’t hang your head to low…atleast a MAC team made it this far!
River Kings were beat tonight by a very classy well coached team!If we had to lose this year im glad it was to the Saints.Good luck at the dome and thank you for being a great visiting team.
Clinton folk are quiet…. From what I heard on the radio…seemed to be quite a good game..too bad i wasnt there, would of thought the score would have been closer. Best of luck to the saints against city high. Clinton should be proud to make it this far..theres always next year!
The River Kings had a very good year. I did not go to the game tonight, but I’m glad the game was well played.
kudos to xavier. what a butt whooping. good luck!!!!!
River King Dad:
I came here to give you a hard time about your 38-10 prediction, but I see your gracious and classy commendation to the Saints team and their fans.
Thank you. You should be very proud of the Clinton team and their amazing accomplishments this year. The River Kings played a hard-fought game tonight. You have a lot of talented young men playing there at Clinton High. I saw some of their comments on KWQC after the game, as well … not just talented, but very classy and well-spoken, too!
We’ll humbly take your congratulations, and all the luck you can spare us on our trip to the Dome next week.
Congrats to you on a great season!
Thanks guys,we all love this sport and love to chatter,Its been a fun year in Clinton. What a spectactular sight it was seeing almost 6000 fans at the game watching our young men play the game.We were very impressed with the fan and family following the Saints had. Please take all of our leftover luck and kick some butt in the dome we will be pulling for you to go all the way,but…..now its time to start thinking about how were gonna whoop ya in baseball ,,Take car and good luck..River King proud dad
RIVER KING DAD- you are so cocky.
Clinton talked a lot of smack, good to see them lose, great season however for them. It was great to see all of those Xavier fans there, same with clinton.
SR# your a dumbass
WHY DO YOU KEEP TALKING RIVER KING DAD? SR#1 said nothing wrong. you lost get over it, you had a great season, why can’t you just be happy with that and get off here! I hope your son reads all the stuff you post and is embarrassed! I know if you were my dad i would be ashamed and would tell you to shut the f up!
why did all of you guys think clinton was good…they play in the mac…the worst division in the state
hey river king dad..what was the score????…o yea i think it was 28-6 clinton was only good cause they were in the mac….if they had xaviers schedule they would be 6-3
hey johny…what was the most recent state title for a iowa city team..i belive they havnt won for a while and xavier got one 3 yrs ago
For anyone who reads these posts I would just like to say that the previous 3 posts by “Guest” are not representative of the Xavier High School community. They are most likely posted by an immature high school student because only someone so insecure would feel the need to respond to criticism in such an uninformed manner. Think about what you’re saying, if you’re saying that Clinton is not that good then it takes away from the impressive win by Xavier, all they did was beat a team from “the worst division in the state”. You probably have not watched any other Clinton games because if you did (assuming you knew about football at all) you would immediately recognize their great team speed and fundamentals. Also the MAC is not a division like the Mississippi division of the MVC is a division, it is a conference in which the teams all play each other. Let River Kings Dad and Johnny think whatever they will, who cares? If you had any idea about the Xavier football program you would just keep your MOUTH SHUT
these guys are just really cocky
friday night score so far cr 3..iowa city 7
hawk your a DORK!!
cr 3 iowa city high 14 2nd qt
3rd qt cr 3 city high 21 ouch!
well guest I guess you should not have got such a kick outta the clinton score because it looks like CR will be beat by about the same amount,To the Saints GREAT SEASON!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL IN BASEBALL.
Glad that Xavier could represent the MVC and congrats on a good season. Now, GO LITTLE HAWKS! TAKE STATE! Just wish we could be there to cheer you on. We miss Iowa Prep football and WE LOVE CITY HIGH!!!
To all of you that did not see the game or who did see the game, please rewatch Riverking vs Xavier on demand when it comes out. They probably won’t air this game, but just in case they do, please watch it very close. David johnson scored the first touch down right off the back and the Ref, right away start cheating. THAT WAS AWEFUL how they cheated. you will see that Clinton scored the first two touchdown in which the Ref claim face mask penalty on clinton. The Ref claim he did not see the turnover on Xavier inwhich Clinton caught the ball and ran for a touchdown. the Ref said he did not see it. another penalty on Xavier when two of Xavier team pull David johnson by the face mask in plain view and the Ref claim he did not see that either. how can any one Win a game when the Ref cheats and give the game to your opponient. I think the Ref should have been fired in the middle of the game. with the game being postpond
the River KINGS won that game. it was Clinton 14- Xavier 0 in the first quarter of the game. the Ref gave our points to Xavier both time by giving the ball to Xavier. I hope their conscious work on them.
HEY GUEST,
Xavier didn’t Win, The Ref cheated, I wonder where the REF was from.
I know you know where they are from
I hope in the future they make rules for Refs that cheats.
oh, its on youtube, riverkings vs xavier. the first touch down by david johnson..
the only touch down they gave us is the one in the 4th quarter, 6 points. we score before that. the riverking lost hope when the Ref start cheating. all that hard work and the Ref cheated them out of it.
