A season that started on the upswing, but then plateaued and never could regain momentum came to a close for the Charles City boys golf team with a sixth place finish at the Northeast Iowa Conference championships.
Charles City finished with a team score of 361. Decorah was the meet champion, posting a 304 at Oneota Golf and Country Club.
Decorah’s Andrew Peter was the medalist, posting a one-under par round of 71. Crestwood’s John Thompson was the runner-up, finishing with a one-over par round of 73.
