MARION — There isn’t a track in Springville, but there is a track team.
And on that track team is a gifted track athlete.
Brittany Clarke was a triple-winner at the Marion Invitational girls’ meet Thursday at Thomas Park Field, capturing 200- and 400-meter titles and bringing the Orioles from behind in the 400-meter relay.

MARION — Nearly halfway through the Marion Invitational, the team race is a dead heat.
Fairfield and Benton Community are tied for first place with 43 points apiece through eight events. Marion is third with 28.
Benton and has three events  – The Bobcats got a win out of their 3,200-meter relay. Emmy Thompson captured the 100. Kaitlin Kromminga took the shot put.
Vinton-Shellsburg got wins from Addy Rickels in the high jump and Megan Horst in the 3,000.
