Volleyball? Track? Or both?
Jessica Gehrke hasn’t decided yet.
“It’s going to be a hard decision,” said Gehrke, an uncommonly athletic junior from Iowa City West. “I’d really like to go somewhere, a Division-I school hopefully, that I could do both.”
Gehrke was an Elite all-state volleyball player last fall as the Women of Troy reached the Class 4A state semifinals. She was the long jump champion at the state indoor track meet in March.

Charles City and Nashua-Plainfield trapshooting teams got off to a fast start to the season last week.
For the season-opening meet, the Comets and Huskies combined to take the top three team finishes. The meet was April 4 at the Nashua Fish and Game Club.
Charles City Orange took first place hitting 227 out of 250 total birds.
The Huskies came in second, with 216 out of 250 and Charles City black was third with a score of 213.
“It was a very good start to the season,” said coach Tim Kueter. …
