CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – On March 24th 2008 Kyle Jacoby’s life was turned upside down. Jacoby, who is a Senior at Xavier High School, was diagnosed with leukemia.
Jacoby underwent chemotherapy treatments once a week for a year. But in September there was a setback. Kyle was diagnosed with pancreatitis. He underwent successful surgery, but his 1 true love, basketball was now gone for his Senior season.

The Comets shot a 190 to win by 20 strokes over Osage, as both teams opened their 2009 seasons. Six Charles City golfers shot between 47 and 49.
