Camille Marie-Lidd led Cedar Rapids Washington with 13 points and Tia Dawson added 10 points in a 50-44 Mississippi Valley Conference girls’ basketball win at Xavier tonight.
Washington outscored Xavier 15-8 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Hannah Breitbach scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, and Kaylee Gibney added 11 points.

The last time the Independence wrestling team competed at West Delaware High School it left with the only blemish of the season and a stinging feeling of defeat.
The Mustangs will get a chance to mend old wounds by leaving Manchester tonight with their second-straight berth to the state dual meet.
Seventh-ranked Independence (24-1) wrestles Monticello (19- in a Class 2A regional dual semifinal tonight at 6. The other semifinal features No. 4 West Delaware (14-2) and No. 8 MFL MarMac (18-1).

Brittany Weisinger and Sarah Danner were destined to play their current role.
Growing up in wrestling families and with dads as high school coaches, becoming a wrestling manager seemed natural.
They both served that same role for their fathers and are concluding their fourth and final season as managers for the Wartburg wrestling program.
They were exposed to the sport at an early age.
