Which Gotto you ask? Well, Jimmy Gotto, the Bobcats’ Class 3A fourth-ranked 119-pounder.  He earned his 100th victory with a first period fall over Postville’s Miguel Hernandez at the Wapsie Valley tournament on Saturday. Gotto is the school’s first to reach the milestone in his junior year and the school’s eighth to reach 100 wins. He is 103-13 His former teammate, Chris Gansen, his the school’s winningest wrestler with 138 victories.

Not even record-low temperatures could cool down Jesse Ney. The IMS senior averaged 17.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in a three-game stretch during the week of Jan. 4-10.
Ney, 6-foot-5, scored 15 points with six boards and added two steals, leading IMS to a 55-33 over Highland on Jan. 6. He followed that with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in a 70-50 win over Winfield-Mt. Union on Jan. 9.
